Congressional Postcard Action for CX Cabin Crew

Download Congressional Postcards

October 21, 2016

Dear Cathay Cabin Crew:

We have created these Congressional postcards to engage elected officials in the U.S. Government on Cathay Pacific’s decision to stop payments to your Social Security, Medicare, and disability benefits. Each postcard will be hand delivered to your member of Congress’ office in Washington DC, along with background information on the company’s recent decision to end contributions.

It is vitally important we gather these signed cards from as many Cathay cabin crew members as possible. Each postcard is a direct request, from you as a constituent, to your elected officials asking them to intercede on your behalf. As a constituent, you have the right to ask your elected official to act on your behalf and to seek clarification on your Social Security, Medicare, or SSDI status.

Flight Attendants must fill out all three cards (2 Senators, 1 Representative). It is imperative that your printed name and address are legible so that Congressional offices could reply, respond, or ask additional questions.

Please help ensure your flying partners fill out these cards. Cathay Pacific Cabin Crew are a close knit community so it’s crucial that we speak as one voice to help protect what you’ve earned and protect future earnings. With each passing month, you could lose accrual of retirement and other benefits. Therefore, it’s important that you mail these cards back to AFA by Tuesday, November 15, 2016.

Please mail the cards to:
